Abstract
|
|
|
Objective : The aim of this study is identify major trend and characteristics of studies on aromatherapy in Korea.
Methods : We searched the three electronic database(RISS, NDSL, KTKP) and manually checked related Korean journals and reference lists 2000 up to June 2014. The studies were analyzed based on publication year, type of paper, intervention method, type of disease, type of aroma.
Results : We included 79 articles in this study. 1. 5 papers were published annually on average. 2. After classifying papers by the speciality of thesis and journal, continuous study was followed not only nursing, but also in many specialities like alternative medicine, korean medicine. 3. Aroma therapy is effect of stress, anxiety, insomnia. 4. Many used interventions are inhalation. 5. The most commonly used in aromatherapy is lavender.
Conclusions : These results suggest that Aromatherapy research is insufficient in korean medicine. But more research is needed to relieve stress, anxiety in the future.
